Four individuals were apprehended by authorities for recording a prank video outside the Kilifi Police Station.

The arrested suspects are Shabir Ali Suleiman (27), Samson Biwott Omungata (17), Caleb Gunga Kahindi (18), and Omar Juma Omar (19).

As per the police statement, one of the suspects asked a cleaner for permission to film inside the police premises, which was denied.

Nevertheless, the suspect proceeded to shoot a staged prank video with his three partners.

The police report mentioned that one individual acted drunk and was robbed by two others on a motorcycle while being recorded by another.

The suspects then shared the video on Tik Tok under the account @shabir_shirazy003, with captions ‘Thieves in front of a police station’ and ‘Man gets robbed near a police station in Kilifi.’

The police argue that the video damaged the station’s reputation, supported by CCTV footage showing the suspects filming the prank video.

Police said they impounded the motorcycle used in the prank.

The four revealed that they wanted to attract followers to their TikTok account.

Police assured the public that Kilifi is safe and free from criminal activities.
